Introducing to Edge Computing

Image
**  EDGE COMPUTING** Edge computing is a type of distributed computing architecture that aims to bring computation and data storage closer to the location where it is required. Unlike traditional cloud computing, where data is processed in a centralized server, edge computing processes data locally on or near the device that generates it. This reduces the amount of data that needs to be transmitted to a remote data center, resulting in faster response times and reduced network traffic. Here are key characteristics and concepts associated with edge computing: 1. Proximity to Data Source: Edge computing involves processing data at or near the source of data generation, reducing the need to transmit large amounts of data to a centralized data center. 2. Low Latency: By processing data locally, edge computing reduces the latency or delay in data processing. This is crucial for applications requiring real-time or near-real-time responses, such as IoT devices, autonomous vehicles, and in...
